I am currently a student at The State University of New York at Oneonta, studying Fashion & Textiles, with a focus in Merchandising. I prioritize staying active in my fashion community as I am in both the Student Fashion Society and the Revival of Apparel club on my campus. I value sustainability upmost and believe the future of clothing is the slowing of the fashion cycle. Throughout my academic career I have written articles for my class magazine Hilltown Edge. I have a passion for fashion journalism, creative direction, styling, and sustainability.
In the work field, I have 4 years of retail experience as a sales associate at Vera Bradley and Garage Clothing. I work with a team of sales associates to keep the store performing at the highest level, utilizing communication and teamwork skills daily. I took creative leadership roles in both these positions by styling mannequins and creating visual merchandising displays. I am well versed in a variety of Microsoft Office and Mac programs, such as Excel, Photoshop, Word, Powerpoint, and WordPress.
